Iran’s Foreign Ministry recently stated that there are currently no plans for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to carry out inspections at its damaged nuclear sites. This declaration arrived just one day after Vice President JD Vance suggested that discussions regarding the arrival of international inspectors could be taking place in the immediate future.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump responded to the situation by accusing the government in Tehran of issuing false statements. The president’s rebuttal followed an assertion by an Iranian official claiming that his administration had not reached any agreement to permit international inspectors to visit the country’s damaged nuclear facilities, standing in direct contrast to claims previously made by the United States.
