These operations are part of a broader strategy intended to bring the realities of the ongoing war closer to the Russian public and encourage the Kremlin to engage in peace negotiations.

Zelenskyy announced on X that Ukrainian-manufactured FP-5 Flamingo missiles were utilized to strike the Titan-Barrikady facility in Volgograd, located in southwestern Russia. He characterized the site as a major industrial complex responsible for the production of sophisticated military hardware, including artillery systems and essential components for missile launch platforms. Ukraine’s General Staff specified that the plant manufactures equipment for the Iskander-M missile system, such as transport-loading vehicles and self-propelled launchers. The strike resulted in a fire at the facility. Russian regional Governor Andrei Bocharov confirmed the attack via Telegram, noting that production facilities sustained damage and at least 10 individuals were injured and required hospitalization.

In a separate operation on Saturday, Ukrainian SBU Security Service officials reported that drones successfully hit a crucial oil pumping station. The targeted technical building is operated by the state-owned pipeline company Transneft and is located in Vtorovo, within the Vladimir region east of Moscow. The facility serves as a vital link for fuel supplies destined for the Russian capital. The Kremlin has not yet issued a formal statement regarding the strike, which marks the second time this facility has been hit in the last month.

These developments followed a massive wave of drone assaults launched by Ukraine just one day prior, which impacted a dozen Russian regions, shipping vessels, and Crimea. Meanwhile, Russia carried out its own series of overnight strikes against at least three Ukrainian regions, resulting in two deaths and over 20 injuries. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, an official reported that aerial bombs and drones struck two districts over 30 times, leaving one person dead and two injured. A 66-year-old man was killed in the northern Sumy region during a drone strike on a residential building, with local authorities describing a massive assault in the area that wounded 10 others. Additionally, strikes in the southeastern town of Zaporizhzhia caused injuries to nine people, including two children. Reports also emerged from the RIA news agency indicating that Russian forces have successfully seized the village of Novoskeliuvate in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Ukrainian forces targeted critical Russian infrastructure, including an advanced weapons manufacturing plant in Volgograd and a key oil pumping station near Moscow, as part of a strategy to exert pressure on the Kremlin.

[93
797,47,798,123,796,127
post-1053","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-world","tag-drone-attacks","tag-military-conflict","tag-transneft","tag-ukraine-russia-war","tag-volgograd","tag-volodymyr-zelenskyy
["GET
