He is slated to assume this pivotal administrative role starting July 1. Sinha will take over from the incumbent Chief Secretary, A Jayathilak, who is scheduled to conclude his tenure and retire from service on June 30. This significant administrative decision was confirmed by the Chief Minister\u2019s Office (CMO).<\/p>\n<p>In a separate but equally important decision made during the same session, the Cabinet resolved to recommend the appointment of N Seshadrinath, a retired district judge, to the crucial post of State Election Commissioner. This recommendation, following the Cabinet&#8217;s deliberation, will now be formally forwarded to the Governor for his final consideration and approval, a necessary step for the formalization of the appointment to this independent constitutional office.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the Cabinet gave its formal assent to the appointment of N Anilkumar as the Special Government Pleader specifically designated for the Lokayukta, an important anti-corruption ombudsman institution. The Chief Minister\u2019s Office (CMO) also reported that the Cabinet cleared the appointments of several other legal professionals.
